Oceania's Flora and Fauna

In Oceania there is a great diversity of species of animals and plants, the variety of territories enables this great natural wealth. It has tropical, subtropical, particular ecosystems on each island due to the influence of the sea and tundra ecosystems to high mountain.

This continent has many unique species of the world, first on the island of Papua it has great diversity and have recently found new species never before seen. This island has very particular ecosystem and is unique in having evolved separately from inland areas, so there are species that are only found on this island.

Something similar happens with the islands of New Zealand and Australia. Having been influenced by some species must be unique species in these two places among which the diversity of marsupials. Another example of this is the island of Tasmania, off the coast of Australia, in which they have animals like the famous Tasmanian devil or boodye, a nocturnal marsupial.

It was the arrival of people determinant of extinction of ancient megafauna living in Australia, like the giant kangaroo. At present have species like the red kangaroo, the platypus, the spotted quoll or broom tail possum and the famous koala.
The flora will have a large number of species, some of them native to this region and have been carried around the world. Eucalyptus trees are often found in some forests of Victoria. The jungle of Tasmania offers an incredible wealth that is only found in this part of the world, many of its plants are extinct in the rest of the world long ago
